Lenten Thoughts...

I've been thinking hard and long about what I want to do for Lent. Do I want to give something up, do I want to change something in my life, or add something? I know a lot of people give up something related to food or beverage, but right now, I just can't do that. Gall Bladder problems making it challenging enough to find things that I want to eat or drink. I spent some time thinking about it and have decided to do 3 things: 1) read a book a week on something related to digging deeper in my faith 2) want to get back into blogging 2x a week and 3) want to start drinking 24 oz. of water a day. All of them are very do-able with where my life is right now. I know doing these things will help me spiritually and physically. I know I'm a little late on getting this going, but better late than never.

Today...there's not much to say on the family front. It's been a quiet day here (which are the best kind). Kids are enjoying there toys, playing pretty well with each other, and sleeping well. Nick's vocabulary is growing by the day. Liz is becoming more and more mobile by the day, developing new skills all the time. Both kids have an affinity for water...dogs' water bowl, toilets, humidifiers, and of course bath time. Thinking swim lessons will be in our future...will have to wait until late spring to make sure I'm completely healed up first.

Well, that's it for now. Back to reality...dogs need walks, I need to put together a snack for Sunday School tomorrow, etc. Hope everyone has a wonderful start to their week!
